MENOG 11 offers the following workshops:
Attendance at the five-day workshops costs $200. If you register by 24 September, you can take advantage of an early registration discount and attend the courses for $150. Early registration is strongly encouraged as the workshops are extremely popular and seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Each day runs from 09:00 – 17:30, with lunch served from 12:30 – 14:00.
IPv6 for ISPs Workshop
Synopsis
This is a technical workshop, made up of lecture and hands-on lab work to teach the OSPF/ISIS and BGP skills required for the configuration and operation of large-scale networks that either already have or are planning to implement IPv6.
Target Audience
Technical staff who are now building or operating a wide area service provider network with international and/or multiprovider connectivity, or considering participation at an Internet Exchange point and are looking to gain invaluable knowledge of working with IPv6.
Pre-requisites
It is assumed that the workshop participants know how to use a router command line interface, do basic router configuration and have a working knowledge of an IGP (OSPFv2) and BGP fundamentals for IPv4. This workshop is not an introduction. The lab exercises use Cisco IOS configuration syntax.
NB: Participants are required to bring laptops.

Network Management Tools Workshop
Synopsis
A course for those who need to manage diverse Network and NOC operations. A combination of theory and lab, with lab work on Ubuntu Linux constituting about 60% of the total course.
Target audience
Engineers and system staffs at ISPs and large networks including academic networks who are involved system management, network monitoring, and telemetry. The course is for those who need to manage diverse Network and NOC operations.
Pre-requisites
Good knowledge of Unix, IPv4 addressing and general network concepts
NB: Participants are required to bring laptops.
